Dear Fellow Brothers, As a Brother of the founding Brotherhood, Augie was an integral part and an exemplary figure of the ideals and principals of I P E. My deepest sympathies are extended to Thelma, his children, and grandchildren. He always was one of the first of the Brotherhood to pitch in as we embarked on furthering the reputation and behaviors during the formative fraternity years. As a past President and fellow secondary major I spent many hours with Augie. Though the years and distance separated us I reflect on the last time he and Rocco had spent time with me on one of my N J trips. May his light perpetually shine on the I P E brothers. What a wonderful man. I remember him so well. He was always so kind and friendly. Whenever anyone had a problem he had a smile. He was surely a presence at MPHS. He encouraged me to be a teacher and gave me my first mock interview. I’m sorry for your loss. May our memories make you smile. 😄

So sorry for your loss....such fond memories of Mr DePreker. I was lucky enough to have him as my principal at not only Highland School but at MPHS as well! I still remember on my 13th birthday he let my dad bring a huge sheet cake for my birthday to field day!!! I remember it like it was yesterday! Absolutely loved him! He really cared about us kids and it showed! My hope is that all the nice words and memories we share gives you some comfort and confirmation of what you already know about him...he was loved and appreciated by everyone’s lives he touched!!
