Our Story

Vander Plaat Memorial Home has been serving Paramus and the surrounding communities since 1927. We’re thankful to be an important part of this community and will continue our longstanding legacy of helping families honor their loved ones.

 

 

The Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus, established in 1927 by Henry Vander Plaat, Sr., served as both Mr. Vander Plaat's residence and place of business, until his death in 1994.

The Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus is one of the most highly respected funeral homes in the state of New Jersey. The Vander Plaat reputation for excellence is manifest in this location, where fine facilities and fastidious attention to detail are a family tradition.

The philosophy in this funeral home, which has been chosen as a member of the prestigious Selected Independent Funeral Homes, is that the rendering of funeral service is a "calling" — one in which all families are deserving of care and dignity.
