Maria “Pia” Mazzola, (nee Minervini), 82, of Paramus, formerly of
Molfetta, Italy, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020. Maria led a
full and active life; She was a force to be reckoned with. She with her
husband, Vito, and her two children, Marta and Anthony, with one on
the way, Leo, emigrated to the United States in 1969. They settled
down in Hoboken, New Jersey. Shortly after, she and Vito built a
business in the apparel industry that led to a successful life for
them and their children. Maria’s love and dedication for her work led
her to own several coat manufacturing factories. After the passing of
her husband, she continued her successful career managing quality
control efforts in other manufacturing companies. Aside from her
career, Maria was a strong home maker with a wonderful flare for
cooking homemade Italian meals. She raised three children and one
granddaughter, Pia. Ultimately, residing in Paramus with her daughter
and granddaughter for the last 20 years. She always surrounded
herself with family and loved ones. Maria Mazzola is going to be
Cherished wife of late Vito Mazzola. Loving mother of Marta Mazzola,
Anthony Mazzola, and Leo (Rosary) Mazzola. Treasured grandmother
to Pia Belmonte, Vito Mazzola, Leo Mazzola and Amanda Kramer.
Adored sister to Giovanni Minervini, Anna Colucci and Mauro
Minervini. Daughter to the late Pantaleo Minervini and Maria
Family will receive friends on Tuesday January 7, 2020 from 5:00pm –
9:00pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview
Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday
January 8, 2020, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a
10:00am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church 234
N. Farview Avenue Paramus. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery N.
Arlington, North Arlington, NJ.
