I could write many chapters for a book about Sam, but keeping it brief I believe brings true and real honor to this wonderful human being. As a member and past Commander of the Father Washington Post of the CWV I have know Sam since 2010. In that short time I came to get to know the real Sam Casiello, a man of highest integrity and a very caring human being. I silently learned much from him these nine years, about what it means to be a caring veteran, to volunteer without thinking twice, and having a "just do it now" attitude. He was a planner, organizer, a leader who knew how to delegate and to be fair, and most of all a doer who got things done without any fanfare. I will dearly miss Sam as I know all our CWV post members will. To Elaine and the family of Sam I say "treasure the memories of him for they will be your greatest treasure". On behalf of myself and my family expressions of our condolences and deepest sympathy on Sam's passing. Sam now rests in the loving embrace of Jesus Christ our Lord. We pray for the repose of Sam's soul. May you Rest in Peace Sam. Sincerely and respectfully, Kurt Strobach, USArmy/USAF Retired Past Commander - Fr. Washington Post

Rest in Peace Sam. In the short time I knew Sam I realized what a kind, compassionate and caring person he was.He was a loyal brother whose family was the most important matter in his life. He was taken too soon.
