Randy Baldino


passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2:50AM at the Lincoln Park Home in Pine Brook, NJ. Randy had just turned 80 years old on Sunday, November 18, 2018. He resided in West New York, New Jersey for over 60 years at 160-61st Street and was part of the Otis and Armellino Association and the Knights of Columbus of WNY.

He is survived by his sister, Addie (Baldino) Bussinelli and his brother-in-law Guido A. Bussinelli, Jr, his sister, Jeanne (Baldino) Jasinski and his brother-in-law Albert Jasinski and his late sister, June (Baldino) DeStefano and his late brother-in-law Tony “Anthony” DeStefano. He is also survived by his loving nieces, Vivian (DeStefano) Shiffman, Linda (DeStefano) Mikulka, Lisa (Bussinelli) Kennedy, Kathryn (Bussinelli) Martini and loving nephews Guido Bussinelli and Dan Bussinelli.

He was employed with the Photo Engravers Union with his Dad, Ritchie “Chick” Baldino and his uncles for several years.

He attended the well-known High School Power House, Memorial High School, WNY and graduated in 1955. Randy was one of the highest achievers in Baseball as a Pitcher for the Tigers. His name to most was Smiley. During his 4 years he threw numerous no hitters, as well as, many shut-outs which always led the school to the State Champ's. Randy threw 90-92 miles to the batters. He achieved All State, All County, All League, All Conference accolades during his 4 years at Memorial High. Due to his success he had many try-outs for major league teams such as: NY Yankees, Boston Red Sox and many other's. You could be sure that the scouts had him on their list. He was accepted at West Point after graduation but due to family issues, he was unable to attend. We hope some of the baseball guys are still around and are able to say a Tiger Good-Bye!
