Since 1927 the Vander Plaat Memorial Home has had a tradition of service to the families we serve and the community. In a mobile society we understand that it is not always possible to attend calling hours or the funeral service.
As a service to our community the Vander Plaat Memorial Home will forward your words of condolence, printed on the card of your choice. Using one of our stock greetings or with your own words of condolence printed inside.
We will see that your message is received by the appropriate family member. There is NO CHARGE for this service and we would be honored to help you let that special friend, relative or business associate know that your thoughts and prayers are with them.
After selecting a cover for your condolence card, fill out the short form. Your card will be printed, and either hand delivered or mailed to the deceased family.
Please leave a public message of condolence for the family by filling in the fields below. If you wish to send the family a private message, you can create a personalized Sympathy Card by clicking on the "Free Sympathy Card" button at the top of this page.

Janos, I never met anyone with a more positive attitude and stance on life than you. Wherever we were you always managed to expose the beauty of any situation. You will be missed, love you. Rest peacefully!

Janos and Maria gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Jonathan. And through the years, Jonathan grew to be a most wonderful man. I am certain Janos and Maria will continue to love him and send him blessings from heaven as they did on earth.
I was fortunate to be with Janos for his last Thanksgiving this past November 2018. I have never seen him happier. He was proud of his son, his sister-in-law and full of love and joy for his grandson and he was also so enjoying the food and drink abundantly served by his sister and brother in law, Gitta and Joe.
Love to Janos and Maria in heaven.

What a lovely tribute to an incredible sounding man. It does not surprise me that Janos' love of life and people have trickled down into similar qualities in his son. Jonathan, your Fidelity family is here for you. We love you, and we are sending our deepest condolence on the painful loss of your father.

Janos, I keep waiting for my phone to ring.
As always, you would say:" Hi, this is Janos Kardos the artist. Do you remember me?"...
Janos, I have known you for 49 years. I will never forget you. I so hope you are with Maria (Kutyi) now, forever!

You may be gone, but you will not be forgotten. We will wake up every day with your reminders of how precious life is, and that every day should be the best day of our lives. We can't wait to share this with Jackson, and support him in creating a life for himself that he loves. We love you Janos.

János was a friend of mine.
First I loved him because he made Maria happy and that was good enough for me.
Later I got to know who he really was and I loved him for his own merits.
Over the years we have had many meaningful conversations that steered me the righ way. He had the ability to focus on the positive and give power to make changes.
He is sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
Rest in peace, my friend!
