(nee Acquaviva), 88, of Paramus, formerly of Hackensack, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012. Before retiring in 2006 Mary worked as a Sales Associate for Annie Sez in Paramus. Her work history included time as a sewing consultant at J.J. Fabrics in Hackensack, she will be fondly remembered as the Exercise Instructor at The European Health Spa in Paramus, and as the Calisthenics Instructor at the YMCA in Hackensack for 22 years, and she had an early start as a professional seamstress. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation RC Church in Paramus.
Dear wife of the late Robert J. Castora (1977). Beloved mother of Rita O’Hare and her husband Peter. Loving grandmother of Peter O’Hare and his wife Kendal and Robin O’Hare. Loving great grandmother of Pierson Ava O’Hare. She was the last surviving child of Andrew and Jenny Acquaviva of Dumont.
Funeral Service Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 9:30 AM from the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, S-113 Farview Ave., Paramus, followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation RC Church, Paramus. Interment Brookside Cemetery, Englewood. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM.
