Helen Midili
(06/17/2012)
(nee Sgambati) was born on August 25, 1929; she passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Sunday, June 17, 2012. She leaves behind her beloved husband Anthony Midili, beloved sister–in-law, Betty Sgambati, Nephew, Frank Jr., nieces, Kathy, Sharon, Susan, Christine and Stephanie, nephew, Jeff and his wife Jen and their lovely children.
“The things which I have seen I now can see no more” “The rainbow comes and goes and lovely is the rose” “The sunshine is a glorious birth, but yet I know where’re I go that there has passed away a glory from earth”
For many years Helen worked at International Paper. After she retired she became an incomparable care giver. She took care of her mother Mary, her sister Christine and her brother Fred, one after another. She was tireless in her devotion to her loved ones and was happily married to her husband of thirty-seven years. She was a person who knew how to listen to others and pay attention to their problems. She was kind, generous warm and friendly. She had a special way of raising her eyebrows with a quizzical expression and at times had a sweet smile and dangerous glint in her eyes. There is no bringing back her uniqueness. She came to us from God as the Poet says “ trailing clouds of glory” And she goes back to him in splendor. There she will be re-united with those she loved so dearly on earth. Those of us who loved her will not forget her.
