of Paramus passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ after a 10 month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born April 21, 1945 in Passaic, NJ and had lived in Clifton before moving to Paramus 32 years ago. George had been an Independent Claims Adjuster for over 40 years. He was an active member of the Paramus Babe Ruth League for over 20 years and served as their treasurer. He was an Army veteran.

Loving husband of Elizabeth Barnes (nee Banach).
Devoted father of Jason and Jonathan Barnes and daughter in law Jill (nee Tarullo). Loving grandfather of Matthew and Christopher. Dear Brother of Andrew Barnes.

Funeral service on Wednesday, March 03, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, S-113 Farview Avenue, Paramus.
Interment George Washington Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends Monday, March 01, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 02, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
